On February 14th, General Dariusz Wroński, an expert of the Warsaw Institute for Strategic Initiatives, was a guest of Marcin Piasecki’s Programme Thing about Business. Discussion surrounded the topic of acquisition process of new helicopters for the Polish Armed Forces. General in his speech referred, among others, issues such as the need of different types of armed forces for new machines, the priority directions of their acquisition and additional equipment and weapons required to gain full advantage of newly acquired rotorcraft. In addition, WIIS expert also referred to the issue of the desired model of acquisition, which in his opinion should assume obtaining firstly helicopters for the Navy and Special Forces while maintaining the potential of currently operated machines.
