The Independent 100
“The Independent 100” is an educational board game designed by the Warsaw Institute for Strategic Initiatives Foundation in cooperation with Tactics and Strategy in connection with the celebration of the 100th anniversary of Polish independence, as part of the Foundation’s educational mission. The objective of the game is to present 100 of the most notable Poles by means of a board game as an alternative educational method.
The game includes a set of 100 cards, 95 of which depict distinguished Poles who played a vital role in the history of the Republic of Poland by promoting its growth, raising its prestige and making it more recognizable, or contributing to the restoration and preservation of Polish independence. 5 additional cards depict specific groups of people, whose shared effort helped maintain or reclaim sovereignty or independence of the Polish state.
The role of each player is to guess the historical figure depicted on the card they have drawn by asking YES or NO questions answered by the other players. The player who guesses the most figures during the game wins.
„The Independent 100" is part of the commemoration of the centennial of the regaining of independence.
